These delicious BBQ chicken sliders are perfect for any gathering, combining sweet rolls, shredded chicken, and melted cheese for a mouthwatering treat.

- 12 slider rolls (such as Hawaiian sweet rolls)
- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
- ½ cup BBQ sauce (plus more for drizzling)
- ½ small red onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (or pepper jack or Monterey jack)
- 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Keeping the rolls attached together, carefully slice the rolls in half and place the bottom halves on the prepared baking sheet; set tops aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl, stir together the shredded chicken and BBQ sauce.
- Spread the BBQ chicken in an even layer over the bottom halves of the rolls. Drizzle with additional BBQ sauce, if desired.
- Add your desired amount of sliced red onion, spreading it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top of the chicken and onions.
- Place top buns on sandwiches.
- Brush the tops of the rolls with the melted butter.
- Loosely cover with foil and bake for 12 minutes. Uncover and bake for 5 more minutes, until cheese is melted and buns are toasted.
- Cut sliders apart before serving, using either a sharp knife or kitchen scissors.
