Description

A delicious garlic cheese sandwich made with thick white or sourdough bread, mozzarella, and provolone cheeses.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices thick white or sourdough bread
  • 4 tablespoons softened butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 8 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt until fully combined.
  2. Spread the garlic butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place mozzarella and provolone on the unbuttered side of four slices. Top with remaining slices, buttered side facing outward.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place sandwiches in the pan.
  5. Cook 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from skillet, rest for 1 minute, slice, and serve warm.
