Delicious beef and pea hand pies, perfect for any occasion.

- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup carrots, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1/3 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 2 refrigerated pie crusts
- 1 large egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and carrots and cook for 4–5 minutes until softened.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until fully browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in frozen peas and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat and allow filling to cool completely.
- Roll out pie crusts and cut 4 circles from each crust to make 8 circles total.
- Place about 1/4 cup filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold dough over to form a half-moon and crimp edges with a fork to seal. Cut small slits on top.
- Brush tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.

- These hand pies are great for meal prep and freezing.
