A delightful assortment of canapés perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 French baguette
  • 1 box Ritz crackers (or water crackers, or whole grain crackers)
  • 1 Cucumber, sliced into rounds or bell pepper chunks
  • 1 head Endive leaves
  • 1 cup Chicken salad (with dried cranberries, chopped pecans)
  • 1 cup Mashed avocado (with canned tuna, sesame seeds, lime juice)
  • 1 cup Fresh mozzarella slices or ricotta (with halved cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, balsamic glaze)
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese (with prosciutto, honey, chopped pistachios)
  • 1 cup Cream cheese (with smoked salmon, fresh dill, capers)
  • 1 cup Brie cheese (with fig jam, toasted walnuts)
  • 1 cup Goat cheese (with cucumber slices, fresh dill, lemon zest)
  • 1 cup Mascarpone (with fresh berries, mint leaves)
  • 1 cup Feta cheese (with pomegranate arils)

Instructions

  1. Toast Baguette slices (OPTIONAL): Preheat oven to 400°F. Slice baguette into ½-inch rounds and arrange on a baking sheet. Brush with olive oil and toast for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Assemble the Canapés: Choose your topping combinations from the list above. Spread or place your base ingredient first (cream cheese, ricotta, mashed avocado, etc.). Add main topping (salmon, prosciutto, tomatoes, etc.). Finish with garnishes (herbs, drizzles, nuts, etc.).
  3. Serve: Arrange on serving platter and serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • This recipe is versatile; customize toppings based on preference.
