A delicious taco-inspired dish with a flaky biscuit crust, perfect for a family meal.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
- 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Press the biscuit dough evenly into the bottom of the dish, sealing seams. Bake for 10 minutes until lightly set.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until beef is fully browned. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in taco seasoning, drained diced tomatoes with green chilies, and chopped bell pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
- In a bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, and 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese until smooth.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly over the partially baked biscuit crust.
- Spread the sour cream mixture over the beef layer evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake for 25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- This dish is best served warm.
