Description
A delicious turkey and cranberry filling encased in golden crescent roll dough, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 cups cooked turkey, shredded
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded turkey, cranberry sauce, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully blended.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. On a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper, lay out the crescent triangles in a circular pattern, with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the points extending outward, resembling a star shape.
- Spoon the turkey and cranberry filling onto the widest part of each triangle.
- Carefully fold the points of the crescent triangles over the filling, tucking them underneath (the filling should be enclosed).
- Brush the top of the crescent ring with the beaten egg to give it a golden color as it bakes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before slicing and serving.
