Description

A delicious appetizer featuring a creamy spinach and artichoke spread on toasted bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf French bread (or any bread you prefer)
  • 1 cup chopped spinach (if it is frozen, thaw and drain)
  • 1 cup artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 8 oz. cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the following ingredients until smooth: Parmesan cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, cream cheese, and minced garlic. Once well combined, gently stir in the spinach and artichoke hearts.
  3. Place the bread halves cut side up on the prepared baking sheet. Evenly spread the spinach-artichoke mixture over each half, and then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Afterward, switch to broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
  5. Once golden and bubbly, remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.
